Celebrate the 4th of July in Pleasantville beginning at 9:00 a.m. on July 2nd with a Firecracker 5k Fun Run which starts and finishes next to the open grass area by the trail across from Casey’s. On Monday, July 4th, the parade starts at 11:00 a.m. Line-up begins at 10:30 a.m. in the High School Parking lot. Following the parade, grab lunch at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m, and then head over to the High School for the Star-spangled squad’s 4th of July dance performance.
Also on July 4th, enjoy the Joe Inman Band at 7:00 p.m., sponsored by Michelle Greene – Iowa Realty, in Cora Shadle Park. The band will play right up to the beginning of the Fireworks display which starts at dusk.
